Examination System and Promotion Criteria
The academic year commences in April and ends in March. The syllabus for classes from UKG to II is divided into three semesters- the first ending in August, second ending in November and third ending in March. The Annual result is declared on the basis of performance in all three semesters. Only grades are given to the child upto class II.
The classes from Ill to VII have semester system of examination. The Annual Examination held in the first week of March.Public Examination for classes VIll, XI are conducted by D.A.V. Education Board, New Delhi, is held in the month of February. The Annual Examination for class X , XII is held according to the date-sheet by CBSE.
The School has its own promotion schemes with regards to the promotion of students to higher classes depend on regularity in school attendance, over all performance in final exams and also during the year, taking into account the weightage of marks obtained by the students in successive test, exams and periodicals, opinion of the teachers with regard to the conduct and discipline of the students and his/her regularity in home work and assignments. A student is normally require to secure 35% marks in individual subject and in aggregate for promotion to next class. Only one chance is provided to students placed in compartment to clear the subject in which he/she scored less than 33% marks.
Withdrawal from School
The following categories of pupils may not be allowed to continue in the school. Poor Academic Performance: Those who fall to show satisfactory progress and are unwilling to profit from the educational programme of the school.
Non-Payment of fee: Those whose fee is in arrears.
On Disciplinary grounds: Those whose behaviour and conduct in the opinion of the Headmistress is harmful in the interest of other students of the school.
Registration and Admission Procedure
The registration is a pre-condition and not a guarantee for the admission. The registration charges are non-refundable. The decision of the Headmistress in all matters concerning admission shall be final. The form will be available on all the working days.
